Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1/20th Jan: Arrival in Sri Lanka – Kandy transfer - Approx 3 ½ hr drive

Arrival at the Colombo international airport, in the heart of the Pearl Island of the Indian Ocean. Pls. wait at the airport for the other guests coming from different Parts of India who will be your co-travellers in this amazing cultural journey and holiday. We meet and greet Namaste Way of Greeting & Getting Together!! At 1400 Hrs: Our representative will meet and greet all the guests and assist with the transfer to Kandy. Guests, who need separate transfer, due to arriving late /do not wish to wait, can do so by paying the additional supplement for Transfers. Transfer to Kandy, the cultural capital, and the last kingdom of the country. Indian lunch at an outside restaurant on the way to Kandy. Check-in to the hotel in Kandy for a relaxing evening and dinner at the hotel. Glass of red or white South African wine as bit of a mood lifter after what would be a long day of flying and traveling on the road. Overnight Stay at Kandy. Meals Included: Lunch at local restaurant & Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2/21st Jan: Kandy full day sightseeing

Wakeup to a beautiful Kandy morning. Breakfast at the hotel. Today you have Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage excursion (entry included) where the orphan elephants who cannot be released to the wild for various reasons are kept. After lunch visit to Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya to learn about Sri Lanka's one of the most treasured collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the "National Herbarium of Sri Lanka". Visit to the Temple of the tooth relic (entry included) for early morning blessing. Visit to the Kandy lake to learn the Kiri Muhuda or the Sea of Milk, is an artificial lake in the heart of the hill city of Kandy. Back to the hotel for the dinner and the Overnight Stay at Kandy. Meals Included: Breakfast, Local lunch and Dinner at the hotel

Day 3/22nd Jan: Kandy to Nuwara-Eliya - Approx 4 ½ hr drive

Breakfast at the hotel before hitting the road to transfer to Nuwara Eliya, Journey from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya itself would be an experience to beautiful sceneries and the landscape surrounding the road. Nuwara Eliya was the preferred holiday destination for the British civil servants and planters during the colonial time due to its cool climate. Visit Ramboda waterfalls, the viewpoint and Sri Hanuman Temple (Hanuman tuk included) on the way. Then Local lunch at outside restaurant. Visit Tea Factory, renowned for producing some of Ceylon's finest Teas and the estate itself, established nearly 150 years ago. That enables you to smell, taste and touch the Tea every stage of production process and get an understanding of why certain teas taste as they do. You will also get an opportunity to enjoy a cup of unique Ceylon tea Visit the spectacular Sitha Amman Kovil According to legend, Seetha Amman temple is said to be the place that Ravana, King of Lanka kept Sita during his time. Take a Boat ride on Gregory Lake (own exp). Your trip to Nuwara Eliya is not complete without a walk along the picturesque path of the Gregory Lake amidst the cool breeze and the hues of the sunset, making you admire the beauty of this iconic destination, Gregory Lake was used for watersports and promenades during colonial times. Little has changed since, Gen on a boat and take in the beautiful surrounding Explore the city’s Colonial History. Nuwara Eliya is full of colonial building such as the famous Post Office which is housed in an 1894 Tudo Manor. Day 4/23rd Jan: Ramayana trails sightseeing

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Hakgala Botanical Garden (Ashoka vatika entry included). Hakgala Botanical Garden is one of the five botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. It is the second largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka. You can explore the beautiful garden. After that visit Agni pareeksha temple (entry included). This temple is located at Divurumpola in Sri Lanka. Having local lunch outside of restaurant. Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya. Meals Included: Breakfast, Local lunch and dinner at hotel.

Day 5/24th Jan: Nuwara Eliya – Galle- Bentota/Kalutara.

Breakfast at the hotel and Check out from your hotel and proceed to the Kalutara enroute visit Galle fort & free time at Galle to enjoy European quarter in Galle. After lunch transfer to Bentota or Kalutara. Overnight at Bentota/Kalutara. Meals Included: Breakfast, Local lunch & Dinner at hotel

Day 6/ 25th Jan: Kosgoda turtle hatchery -Madu river boat ride– water sports

Wake up to the sound of morning waves crashing onto the shore and prepare for an action-packed day. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a journey to explore the southern part of this paradise island. Visit Kosgoda turtle hatchery (entry included) is a conservation project focused on protecting sea turtle eggs and hatchlings. Next, discover the Madu River estuary on a riverboat safari (entry included) and immerse yourself in the rich biodiversity of its complex ecosystem. Visit nearby turtle hatcheries, where various institutions and individuals run conservation programs for sea turtles. Then Enjoy a Local lunch at an outside restaurant. Proceed to exciting experiences in water sports on the Bentota River, which offers a wide range of activities suitable for beginners to professionals. Popular activities include jet skiing, kayaking, windsurfing, and water skiing. Meals Included: Breakfast, Local Lunch and Dinner at Kalutara.

Day 7/26th Jan: Kalutara -Colombo city tour - Departure

Breakfast at the hotel and Check out from your hotel and proceed to the Colombo. Today you have Colombo City Tour. Colombo is the commercial capital and the largest city of Sri Lanka. A vibrant city recently has gone for an amazing transformation becoming one of the most attractive places in South Asia if not in the world. Our driver/guide will help you to discover Colombo and its charm during the city tour including key attractions like Gangaramaya Temple, Marina Park in Fort City, Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, Dutch Hospital, and Independence Memorial Hall. Having Local lunch at outside restaurant. After having lunch proceed to the airport or railway station for your onward journey, taking with you cherished memories of your Sri lanka experience.
