Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

DAY 01: GUWAHATI-TEZPUR (APPROX 190 KM, 4/5 HRS DRIVE

Arrive Guwahati airport at morning and drive to Tezpur – the city of romance en route visit Mahamrityunjai temple at Nagaon- this temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva, is the World’s Largest Shivalinga at the height of 126 ft. Drive further to Tezpur and transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 02: TEZPUR – DIRANG (APPROX 200 KM 05/06 HRS)

After breakfast drive to Dirang en–route visit Tipi where one can have a quick look over 7500 orchids from a collection of about 300 species, Nechifu Water fall, Nag Temple. Drive further to Dirang. Arrive Dirang and transfer to your hotel. Dirang is a beautiful valley located in the foothills of the Himalayan ranges. Later visit beautiful monastery, Dirang – Dzong, old Tibetan architectures along the Tibetan villages, Overnight stay at Dirang.

DAY 03: DIRANG - TAWANG (ABOUT 125 KMS/ 05 HRS)

After breakfast drive to Tawang, en-route stop over at Sella Pass (13,700 ft) to enjoy the area, Jaswant Garh war memorial, Nuranang Falls or Jung Falls. Arrive Tawang and transfer to your hotel. If time permits visit the local market area. Overnight in Tawang.

DAY 04: TAWANG

After breakfast a day excursion to Bumla pass (China Border)- by local taxi permission by army officials, en-route visit PTTSO lake. Later visit Madhuri Lake. Back to hotel. Evening visit Tawang War Memorial, a 40 foot high multi-hued memorial, has a structure constructed in stupa design. Dedicated to the martyrs of Sino-Indo War held in 1962, this memorial is nestled among beautiful peaks, which overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. Overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 05: TAWANG - BOMDILA (ABOUT 185 KMS/ 06-07 HRS)

After an early breakfast visit of 400 years (17th century) old Tawang Monastery which is the second largest monastery in the world after Potala Palace in Tibet. The building is about 113 feet longand 80 feet wide and houses valuable antiquities, books and manuscripts-handwritten and printed. Later drive to Bomdila and check in at your hotel. Afternoon visit Bomdila Buddist Monastery and evening is free for own around Bomdila. Overnight at Bomdila. Morning after breakfast drive back to Guwahati and transfer to your hotel. Later if permits we will suggest an optional river cruise on Brahmaputra River (on direct payment basis). Overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 06: BOMDILA - GUWAHATI (ABOUT 330 / 6-7 HRS.)

Morning after breakfast drive back to Guwahati and transfer to your hotel. Later if permits we will suggest an optional river cruise on Brahmaputra River (on direct payment basis). Overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 07: GUWAHATI AIRPORT DEPARTURE (35 KMS/ 1 HR DRIVE)

After an early breakfast check out from your hotel and visit Kamakhya temple - Situated atop the Nilachal Hills, the foremost shrine of Assam, Kamakhya is an ancient seat of Tantrik and Shakti cults of Hinduism - The temple offers grandstand views of the river Brahmaputra and its surroundings - The reigning deity here is Goddess Parvati (Sati).
