Arrive Leh airport, wisdom Representative will meet, assist and transfer the guests to the hotel in Leh. Rest of the day free to acclimatize to the high altitude of Ladakh. In the evening you may take a walk to the local market but we highly recommend to give complete rest to the body. O/N Leh.
Day start with Hall of Fame, which was constructed by the Indian Army to commemorate the sacrifice of soldiers during Indo-Pak wars. Mahakal Temple and Spituk Gompa - an 11th century structure , Next on the list of attractions is the majestic Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Nestled deep in the Himalayas, it was constructed by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to honour the visit of Guru Nanak Dev - the founder of the Sikh faith. Drive another few km to witness the magic of Magnetic Hill that defies the law of gravity. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road, it seems to slide up and further. Driving through a picturesque landscape, we reach the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River (Sangam). Return to hotel via same route. In the evening, you may take a walk around the beautiful town and explore the local flavors it offers to the visitor.
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the world, 18,380 ft). On the way visit Desert Himalaya Adventure Park where you can have lunch and enjoy adventure activities like World’s longest High Altitude Zip line and ATV ride at Khalsar sand dunes (activities on direct payment basis) Arrive at your destination and check in to the hotel/camp. Later visit 108 ft high Maitriya Buddha Statue at Diskit monastery and Hunder Sand Dunes where you can enjoy double humped camel ride (on direct payment basis) Return to your hotel/camp for dinner and overnight stay.
After Breakfast drive to Turtuk village which is one of the northernmost villages in India and is situated on the banks of the Shyok River. It was under Pakistan's control until 1971, after which India gained control over this strategic area. Turtuk is one of the gateways to the Siachen Glacier and is known for its varieties of fruits especially apricots. Return to your camp/hotel in the evening. O/N Nubra Valley.
After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) through the Shayok River Valley. A beautiful drive of appox 04 hours and you’ll be at one of the most beautiful places of the planet. Spend some time around the lake visit the 03 Idiot shooting point, try local food at any of the small restaurant around the Lake shore., Later free time at Leisure and enjoy the colour changing lake and the sun set on the banks of lake. Overnight stay at the camp at Pangong area.
After breakfast drive to alongside the Pangong lake towards Tsomoriri Lake. It is a breathtaking journey on a trail that is literally a ‘no mans’ land. Vast lonely stretches on the Chanthang plateau makes this drive one of the best isolated drives of this tour. Enroute cross the faraway settlement of Chusul. Tsomoriri is situated at an altitude of 4511m above sea level; with an area of about 140 Sq.km. Spend your evening watching shadows of the surrounding mountain and the varying depths of Tsomoriri lake. Stay in tented cottages / hotel at Tso Moriri.
Post breakfast we check out from the camp and drive to Tsokar lake which lies about 60 km from Tso Moriri. On the midway about 35 kms from Tsomoriri we reach Puga Hot Springs in the Changthang Valley in the south-eastern part of Ladakh. It is a region of great significance known for its natural beauty and geothermal activities. This 30 km long valley is an absolute treat for nature lovers as one gets to drive around the valley while admiring the mountains, many of which are snow-capped, and also the trees, boulders, salt deposits, etc. It is an excellent place for photography. Continue drive for 22 kms and reach Tsokar Lake One can also spot sheep, yak, bar-headed geese, brahminy ducks, black-necked cranes and more wildlife here. Situated at a height of 15,280 ft, it is also called white lake due to the white salt content in the water deposits on its shore, it leaves visitors in awe of its beauty. The area surrounding the lake is rife with wildlife and flora, and it also makes for an important point for bird watchers, especially during migration season when several species come here to lay their eggs, including the black-necked cranes. Drive for another hour to reach Manali – Leh Highway and cross Tanglang La Pass which is one of the incredible high altitude mountain passes in Ladakh located at an altitude of 5,328 meters, or 17,480 feet. What makes it a famous tourist attraction in Ladakh is the incredible views it offers & the sheer excitement of crossing it, which is no less than an adventure. Arrive Leh in the evening for overnight stay.
