Preserved 9th-century Viking ships are displayed at Oslo’s Viking Ship Museum. Bergen, with colorful wooden houses, is the starting point for cruises to the dramatic Sognefjord. Norway is also known for fishing, hiking and skiing, notably at Lillehammer’s Olympic resort.

During the tour, which combines a bus drive and walking stroll, we will see “The Little Mermaid,” the Nyhavn harbor with its colorful historic buildings, the exterior of Amalienborg Palace, residence of the Danish royal family, City Hall Square, and the Tivoli park area. Later in the morning, we’ll journey to Jutland. Our route includes crossing a 20 km bridge over the sea and stopping at ODENSE, where we can explore its Gothic cathedral and H.C. Andersen’s House. We’ll travel to HIRTSHALS and take a ferry across the North Sea to NORWAY, embarking on a three-hour voyage to KRISTIANSAND. From there, we’ll continue along Norway’s stunning southern coastline. Our next stop will be the charming little town of FLEKKEFJORD. We’ll then arrive in STAVANGER, a picturesque town with a bustling port by the fjord. Note: The ferry schedule may vary depending on the month, but you will normally have time for lunch on the boat. Overnight stay at Stavanger.
Upon leaving the city, we’ll stop at the Swords in Rock monument, a tribute to the Viking era, before continuing our scenic route through tunnels, bridges, and some segments by boat along the fjord coast of NORWAY. One of these undersea tunnels is the deepest in the world. The two boat trips will make this part of the journey both relaxing and spectacular. We’ll arrive in BERGEN at lunchtime and take a cable car up Mount Fløyen for amazing views of the town and the Bergen fjord. Afterwards, you’ll have leisure time to explore the capital city of fjords. Overnight stay at Bergen.
We’ll leave BERGEN early and travel into the heart of NORWAY. Our journey will take us across the impressive suspension bridge over the Hardanger Fjord, one of the most beautiful in the country. We’ll stop in EIDFJORD, a charming town on the fjord’s edge. Next, we’ll visit Voringsfossen, considered Norway’s most spectacular waterfall, with an awe-inspiring 182-meter drop. We’ll explore the viewpoints and bridges that offer stunning scenery of the falls. Afterward, we’ll continue through breathtaking landscapes of desolate, cold high plateaus, dotted with small lakes—frozen most of the year—and snowfields, leading us to GEILO, a popular ski resort town where we’ll stop for lunch. Following lunch, we’ll continue our journey toward OSLO, arriving in the evening. Once in Oslo, we recommend exploring its lively city center, strolling through the historic harbor, and heading up to the rooftop terrace of the modern Opera House. Overnight stay at Oslo.
In the morning, we’ll go on a panoramic tour of OSLO, the capital of NORWAY, known as Europe’s green capital and surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. With our local guide, we’ll pass by the Royal Palace, stop at Frogner Park to admire its impressive sculpture collection, and see the exterior of the Town Hall, the old port, and the new Opera House. Afterward, you’ll have free time to explore on your own. You might choose to visit one of the city’s popular museums. After lunch, we’ll board a modern night ferry, which offers the comforts of a cruise ship, and set sail across the sea to DENMARK. We’ll spend the afternoon and night on board, with accommodation in cabins and breakfast included. Note: The ferry is scheduled to depart at 04:30 p.m. (boarding at 3:30 p.m.) and arrive in Copenhagen at 10:00 a.m. Ferry schedules are subject to change. Overnight stay at Copenhagen.
