Day start with Hall of Fame, which was constructed by the Indian Army to commemorate the sacrifice of soldiers during Indo-Pak wars. Mahakal Temple and Spituk Gompa - an 11th century structure , Next on the list of attractions is the majestic Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Nestled deep in the Himalayas, it was constructed by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to honour the visit of Guru Nanak Dev - the founder of the Sikh faith. Drive another few km to witness the magic of Magnetic Hill that defies the law of gravity. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road, it seems to slide up and further. Driving through a picturesque landscape, we reach the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River (Sangam). Return to hotel via same route. In the evening, you may take a walk around the beautiful town and explore the local flavors it offers to the visitor.
After breakfast prepare yourself for the ultimate adventure of your life. We will drive upto the Kardungla Top to have a magnificent view of the surrounding valleys. Famously known as the gateway to the Nubra and Shyok Valleys in the Ladakh, it is the highest motorable pass in the world. It is filled with tourist crossing over from Leh and stopping long enough to click some photographs. Adventure bikers from all parts of our country and across the world visit this mountain pass on their motorcycles for an adventure soaked experience. Khardung La Pass is positioned on the Ladakh range, which is 40 km from Leh, at an altitude of 18,379 ft (5602 m). After spending some time at the pass, return to your hotel in Leh. Rest of the evening free to explore Leh town on own. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) through the Indus River Valley. A beautiful drive of appox 04 hours and you’ll be at one of the most beautiful places of the planet. Spend some time around the lake visit the 03 Idiot shooting point, try local food at any of the small restaurant around the Lake shore. Post lunch start your drive to Leh crossing the mighty Changla pass at 17000ft once again. Arrive Leh on time for dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
After breakfast leave for Indus Valley monastery tour starting from Shey Palace on a hillock 15 Kms upstream from Leh, it was once the residence of the royal family. A 7.5 mts high copper statue of Buddha, plated with gold and the largest of its kind, is installed here. A drive of another 05 kms will bring us to Thiksey Monastery which is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive Gompas of Ladakh. There are several temples in this Gompas, containing images, stupas and wall paintings of Buddha, which are exquisite. Finally we drive to Hemis, appox 40 Kms from Leh, it is the wealthiest, best known and biggest Gompa of Ladakh. Hemis was built in 1630 and is divided into two parts, the assembly hall on the right and the main temple on the left.. After visiting Hemis drive back to Leh. Enroute two brief halts at Druk Pema Karpo School AKA Rancho’s School (03 Idiot fame) and Sindhu Ghaat where the annual Sindhu Darshan festival is held. Reach Leh and relax at the hotel or just walk to Leh market for any last minute souvenir shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination with wonderful memoried on your tour.
